Can fat people do freestyle riding on their snowboards?
The reason I asked is because my heart was set on buying the Burton Shaun White board, but when I went to the store, the sales guy was like weight limit is 180 lbs, how much do you weigh? I was like, what? I’m 190 lbs and he was like, sorry, too heavy and I was like, Ouch. Why did Burton do that? So does that mean over 180 lbs you can’t do tricks like White?
The salesman that told you that should be shot. You can totally ride a SW at 190. its not like your 340 or something.
Anyone know where I can get a 155/158cm Burton Hero right now for around $250?
i was thinking about taking advantage of the end of the season sales and buying my board now and getting bindings and boots in the fall when the 2010’s were released. can anyone give me legit sites with toll free numbers? I need to order the board over the phone, my parents rule…
I have looked at rei.com and sierrasnowboard.com so far.
10 points for the taking!

there yah go, Just know that’s the ICS binding system. So the bindings you get need to be burton and you’ll preferably want the EST versions.
Is the Burton Bullet good for me?
I have a Santa Cruz snowboard right now and i love it but im in the park more than on the slopes. So i found the Burton Bullet and i would really like to order one, however i heard its for larger people. Im 5′6 and 120 lbs with a foot that varies from sizes 8-10 (boarding boots are a size 10). Also i think i heard it is for those who ride goofy foot, i ride regular. The board is on sale for a great price now that the season is pretty much over and id like to take advantage of the deal
Thank you.
I wouldn’t get the Bullet if you ride mainly in the park because it’s an all-mountain board. The Bullet is a directional twin board meaning the shape of it is directional and the flex is a twin (nose and tail have the same flex). In park, you usually want the shape of the board to be a twin because the stance will be centered…unlike a directional board, which has the stance set back. This makes it easier to ride and land jumps in switch stance (fakie). The Bullet, since it is an all-mountain board, has a set back stance.
The Bullet is the wide version of the Clash. Since your boots are only a size 10, you don’t need a wide board. Wide boards are really meant for people with size 11.5 boots and up. I would suggest the Burton Blunt board, which is the company’s entry level park board. It has a good amount of flex, extruded base, twin shape/flex, and Rail Ready Edges (Factory detuned edges). I think the most important feature of the Blunt is the detuned edges (which the Bullet doesn’t come with) because they don’t catch on rails as easy as normal edges.
I personally own 2 Burton Blunts and love them in the park. I would suggest getting the Blunt. If it’s not for sale in your size, then I would go with the Clash. You shouldn’t buy a wide board with the size boots you have because it isn’t necessary and can actually hinder your performance when riding the board.
Burton dom?
im looking at the burton dom size 142, and im thinking about buying it after this season ends (around march-april) and i was wondering, what would be the maximum size person who could fit on a size 142 dom grom? im 5′3, weigh 100lbs and have a size 9 foot. would i be better to go with the shaun white 143? or get the size 146 dominant? because im set on gettin a board while its on sale.
thanks for all the help
also, would a rome label 145 be too big? i could grow into that…
I am almost exactly like you. I’m 100 lbs and 5′4, and also a size 9 foot. I have a burton dom that i just bought this year, and i went for the 150. I find it perfectly fine and i will be able to use it for many years. My advice is get the 150, but if you are not sure get the 146. a 142 would still fit, but you will grow out of it much faster than a 146 or a 150.
Is the Burton Clash a good snowboard?
I just bought my boyfriend a Burton Clash snowboard for Christmas. He is about 5′9" and 150 lbs and he rides his brother’s snowboard right now which is a Burton Custom 162. I know 162 is big for him and he only rides it because it goes fast so I ordered him a 158. Is that a good size and is the clash a good board? It was on sale for $240 down from $300 so it was right in my price range. Let me know what you think if you have a good knowledge of riding and snowboards.
Also: He usually rides at ski resorts like Seven Springs or Holiday Valley if you know what those are.
It’s a decent entry level board, It’s moderately soft so it’ll make carving easier. It sounds like he just likes to go down groomers fast the extra length will help with stability and at that price range it’s not a bad choice for that.

Anyways in your opinion what is the best backpack with built in audio?
Skullcandy is a bigger name in audio projection.

This is the identical helmet, but a 2008 model. It has the same shell design, and comes with premium Skullcandy audio with really great bass response.
