Is a K2 Snowboard a quality board?
Well, K2 makes a whole range from rental quality to high end, but overall, yes, they make excellent boards. Transworld Snowboarding Selected the K2 Believer as the top snowboard for 2008/2009.
First Snowboard, K2 or Forum?! Help!?
I’m buying my first snowboard and can’t decide between the 2008 K2 Moment or the 2009 Forum Star. The K2 Moment is selling for $203 and the Forum is selling for $288. Is it worth it to spend the extra 85? Which is a better brand and does it make a difference for a beginner? Thanks!
definitely k2 moment.
i was looking at buying it, however i was looking for more of a terrain park board. the guy at the store was really experienced and said the k2 moment isnt really fit for park riding, but is still a great board for all-mountain, so you would be absolutely fine on any hill. even if you had it a couple few years it would be fine in the terrain park
they said my old board wasnt fit for the terrain park AT ALL and i still used it 2 years in the park aha.
but anyways, enough rambling, but k2 is definitely the better brand, itll take you farther.
Where can I buy step in boots for my snowboard?
Im looking for a place (online or a shop in michigan) that sells step in boots for my k2 snowboard. I have asked play it again sports, dicks sporting goods, and dunhams sports. Are there any that you would recomend?
These sites usually have good deals on boarder specific gear.

What is the compatability of Burton snowboard boots with K2 Bindings?
I have new Burton Freestyle boots and K2 Cinch’05 bindings. The bindings seem too small for the boots – the straps are almost maxed out. This seems odd, considering I have med-sized feet (8.5)….
…Any words of wisdom?!?
I dont think it matters the brand of your bindings because its not about brand compatibility, it matters how it feels. If it doesnt feel right to you or it seems too small, tight, etc then it doesnt work.
has anyone ever ridden a K2 snowboard? how are they?
would you recommend anything else? i only have $300 to work with…
Yeah k2 are a good make as are most brands arouned today. Alot of people rate Burton highly and although they are good they are expensive and you can buy alot of boards equally as good but alot cheaper. It depends what sort of board you are looking for
if you are after an all arouned board a k2 darkstar is a good choice. Theres also a new brand called Signal which are made by the guy who used to make boards for lib tech, i rode one the other day it was amazing, probably the best board ive ever ridden
definately worth looking at.
Will my K2 Cinch bindings fit on a Burton snowboard?
I’m looking to upgrade my board, but I am wondering if my K2 Cinch bindings, model maybe…2005-2006, will fit on a Burton board?
Sorry to say that everyone up to this point has been wrong… yes your K2 Cinch bindings will work with ANY Burton board.
All K2 bindings come with UNIVERSAL base plates.. you just turn it and can only use 3 screws. (so do most other bindings these days..)
And for those few Burton’s with a single channel.. you can still use those universal base plates.. Just turn it so the 2 lines cross the channel and use 2 screws. If your ride hard or are a bigger kid and worried if those two screws per binding will hold you then you can buy a burton base plate to throw in those K2 bindings and the problem is still solved.
From personal experience though that whole freedom channel (several companies have had it although Burton is the first to use just one channel) is not the greatest. On hard impacts your binding can still slip. Thats why I ditched my Capita Yetti from a few years ago. Great board otherwise but I hated those channels.
