I used a Household …
I used a Household Iron for years and it worked fine. The wax will easily melt out of the hole.
The thing to be careful of is the HH Iron getting to hot and ruining your base. The HH Iron will get much hotter at the hottest setting compared to a Snowboard Tuning Iron.

dont use an iron that has holes in the bottom, or else the wax will clog them up. as long as its a flat based iron, it should be good
